Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan pada proses bimbingan individual yang diberikan kepada santri yang kurang disiplin dalam mengikuti kegiatan di Pondok Pesantren Al-Muayyad Surakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas bimbingan individual yang dilakukan oleh pengurus sebagai pendamping untuk mendisiplinkan santri dalam mengikuti kegiatan.&#13;
Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mendalami informasi yang didapat dengan pengurus sebagai pembimbing dan santri, observasi dilakukan dengan tujuan melihat kondisi secara langsung di tempat penelitian.&#13;
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses bimbingan individual pada santri yang kurang disiplin santri pondok pesantren Al – Muayyad Surakarta meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu, tahapan awal membangun hubungan dengan santri, memperjelas dan mendefinisikan masalah, menaksir dan penjajakan masalah, dan negosiasi kontrak. Selanjutnya tahap pertengahan yaitu menjelajahi dan mengeksplor masalah, menjaga bimbingan supaya berjalan dengan baik, melakukan bimbingan sesuai kesepakatan, dan yang terakhir adalah tahap akhir yaitu memutuskan perubahan sikap dan perilaku santri yang memadai, terjadinya penyaluran ilmu, santri sadar bahwa adanya perubahan sikap dengan melaksanakan perubahan,dan mengakhiri proses bimbingan. Maka dari itu santri diberikan bimbingan individual dengan tahapan tersebut dan memberikan hasil yaitu perubahan sikap santri menjadi lebih disiplin dalam mengikuti kegiatan di pondok pesantren Al – Muayyad Surakarta.&#13;

The background of this research is based on the individual guidance process provided to students who lack discipline in participating in activities at the Al- Muayyad Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta. This study aims to discuss the individual guidance provided by the administrators as facilitators to discipline the students in participating in activities.&#13;
The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with an interview, observation, and documentation approach. Interviews were conducted to deepen information obtained with the administrators as mentors and the students, while observations were conducted to directly observe conditions at the research site.&#13;
The results of the study indicate that the individual guidance process for students with low discipline at the Al-Muayyad Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta involves several stages: the initial stage of building a relationship with the student, clarifying and defining the problem, assessing and exploring the problem, and negotiating a contract. The next stage is the middle stage, which involves exploring and addressing the problem, maintaining the smooth running of the guidance program, implementing the guidance program according to the agreement. Finally, the final stage involves deciding on appropriate changes in the student's attitude and behavior, transferring knowledge, realizing the change in attitude through implementation, and concluding the guidance process. Therefore, the students were provided with individual guidance through these stages, resulting in a change in attitude, leading to greater discipline in participating in activities at the Al-Muayyad Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta.&#13;
