MAY (Analisis resepsi khalayak Stuart Hall ) Skripsi. Program Studi Komunikasi Dan Penyiaran Islam Fakultas Ushuluddin dan Dakwah. Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Mas Said Surakarta 2025.
Perkembangan film di Indonesia saat ini sangat berkembang pesat. Banyak sering dijumpai film yang mengangkat isu sensitif, film 27 Steps Of May salah satunya. Film 27 Steps Of May menggambarkan tentang tindakan kekerasan seksual yang menimbulkan rasa trauma kepada korban hingga bertahun – tahun lamanya. Rasa trauma tersebut tidak hanya merugikan korban tetapi juga pada lingkungan sekitarnya juga. Yang menyebabkan lingkungan di sekitarnya juga merasa bersalah atas kejadian yang telah dialami oleh korban, terutama peran ayah dalam keluarga sebagai kepala keluarga. Oleh karena itu tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam film ini untuk menggambarkan mengenai resepsi penonton terhadap peran ayah dalam film 27 Steps Of May karya Ravi Bharwani.
Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis resepsi dari Struat Hall. Data yang diperoleh peneliti melalui proses dokumentasi,studi pustaka dan sumber-sumber lain yang terpercaya kemudian diolah menjadi data untuk penulisan skripsi ini. Keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi Teknik dengan cara membandingkan hasil wawancara dengan hasil dari wawancara Focus Group Discussion.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa audies cenderung setuju dengan makna pesan yang disampaikan melalui seseorang yang keluar dari rasa trauma yang hidup bersama berdua dengan Ayah kandungnya. Sehingga penerimaan audiens merujuk pada dominant position, dimana audiens menerima penuh isi pesan yang disampaikan melakui adegan perlakukan Ayah May yang selalu melindungi May dan memberikan rasa nyaman sesuai keinginan May.

The development of movies in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly. Many often find movies that raise sensitive issues, the movie 27 Steps Of May is one of them. The movie 27 Steps Of May describes an act of sexual violence that traumatizes the victim for years. The trauma is not only detrimental to the victim but also to the surrounding environment as well. Which causes the surrounding environment to also feel guilty about the events that have been experienced by the victim, especially the role of the father in the family as the head of the family. Therefore, the goal to be achieved in this film is to describe the audience's reception of the father's role in the film 27 Steps Of May by Ravi Bharwani.
This research uses a qualitative approach. By using the reception analysis method from Struat Hall. The data obtained by researchers through the documentation process, literature study and other reliable sources are then processed into data for writing this thesis. Data validity uses Triangulation Technique by comparing the results of interviews with the results of Focus Group Discussion interviews.
The results of this study indicate that audies tend to agree with the meaning of the message conveyed through a person who comes out of trauma who lives together with his biological father. So that audience acceptance refers to the dominant position, where the audience fully accepts the content of the message conveyed through the scene of May's father's treatment which always protects May and provides a sense of comfort according to May's wishes.
