Kisah adalah suatu peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau. Begitu juga dengan kisah dalam al-Qur'an suatu peristiwa atau pemberitaan yang terjadi di masa lampau yang terkait dengan nabi-nabi, umat terdahulu dan tokoh-tokoh pada masa lalu. Terkhusunya dalam kisah Dzulqarnain, kisah Dzulqarnain ini masih menjadi objek penelitian yang menarik diteliti karena kisah ini menjadi konspirasi dan kontroversial perdebatan hangat hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penafsiran QS. Al-Kahfi ayat 83-98 dalam Tafsir Al-Misbah. Dalam konteks ini, peneliti akan mengulik siapakah sosok Dzulqarnain dan apa saja pesan moral yang dapat diambil dari kisah dan perjalannya menurut penafsiran Al Mishbah dalam QS Al-Kahfi ayat 83-98. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif analisis. Dengan menggunakan kajian kepustakaan. Dalam melakukan penelitian penulis menggunakan Tafsir Al-Misbah sebagai data primer, dengan objek penelitiannya adalah QS. Al-Kahfi ayat 83-98. Sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari artikel artikel, jurnal, literatur tafsir al-Qur'an, buku-buku tentang kisah maupun tulisan tulisan yang terkait dengan pembahasan. Teori Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) dengan model Teun A. Van Dijk yang digunakan untuk menganalisis struktur wacana dalam pembahasan ini yang dimana melihat dari 3 dimensi, yaitu teks, koginis sosial dan konteks sosial. Hasil penelitian dalam Tafsir ayat kisah Dzulqarnain pada QS. Al-Kahfi ayat 83-98 dalam Tafsir Al-Misbah. Dalam struktur wacana dalam penafsiran Quraish Shihab yaitu melalui struktur teks dengan tema moralitas dan integritas nya adalah kepemimpinan yang adil dan bertakwa serta penggunaan kekuasaan untuk kebaikan umat manusia. Adapun Suprastruktur dalam penafsiran Qurais shihab adalah pertanyaan kaum Quraisy tentang Dzulqarnain, perjalanan Dzulqarnain ke Barat dan tiba ditempat terbenamnya matahari lalu menemukan suatu kaum dan menerapkan keadilan. Kemudian Mikrostruktur dalam penafsiran Qurais shihab pertama adalag Konteks historis: Pertanyaan dari kaum Quraisy yang mendapat informasi dari Ahli Kitab untuk menguji kenabian Muhammad SAW, kedua Latar geografis: Perjalanan ke tiga penjuru (Barat, Timur, dan antara dua gunung), keempat Latar sosial: Berbagai kaum dengan tingkat peradaban yang berbeda. Detael yang ditonjolkan dalam penafsiran Qurais shihab adalah keadailan Dzulqarnain dalam memutuskan perkara, teknik pembangunann tembok yang sangat detail (menggunakan besi dan tembaga cair). Untuk detail yang dikurangi dalam penafsiran Qurais shihab adalah identitas asli Dzulqarnain (apakah alexander Agung atau tokoh lain). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang penafsiran al-Qur'an, khususnya dalam kisah Dzulqarnain. Especially in the story of Dzulqarnain, the story of Dzulqarnain is still an interesting research object because this story has become a conspiracy and is controversial and hotly debated to this day. This research aims to analyze the interpretation of QS. Al-Kahf verses 83-98 in Tafsir Al-Misbah. In this context, researchers will explore who the figure of Dzulqarnain is and what moral messages can be drawn from his story and journey according to the interpretation of Al-Mishbah in QS Al-Kahf verses 83-98. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative analysis method. By using a literature review. In conducting the research, the author uses Tafsir Al Misbah as primary data, with the object of research being QS. Al-Kahfi verses 83 98. While secondary data comes from articles, journals, literature on interpretation of the Qur'an, books about stories and writings related to the discussion. The Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) theory with the Teun A. Van Dijk model is used to analyze the discourse structure in this discussion which looks at it from 3 dimensions, namely text, social cognitive and social context. The results of the research in the interpretation of the verses of the story of Dzulqarnain in QS. Al-Kahfi verses 83-98 in the Tafsir Al-Misbah. In the discourse structure in the interpretation of Quraish Shihab, namely through the text structure with the theme of morality and integrity, namely just and pious leadership and the use of power for the good of humanity. The Superstructure in the interpretation of Quraish Shihab is the question of the Quraish about Dzulqarnain, Dzulqarnain's journey to the West and arriving at the place where the sun sets then finding a people and implementing justice. Then the Microstructure in the interpretation of Quraish Shihab is the first Historical Context: Questions from the Quraish who received information from the People of the Book to test the prophethood of Muhammad SAW, second Geographical background: Travel to three corners (West, East, and between two mountains), fourth Social background: Various people with different levels of civilization. The details highlighted in Qurais Shihab's interpretation are Dzulqarnain's justice in deciding cases, and the meticulous wall-building techniques (using molten iron and copper). The details omitted in Qurais Shihab's interpretation include Dzulqarnain's true identity (whether Alexander the Great or another figure). Therefore, this research is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of Qur'anic interpretation, particularly the story of Dzulqarnain.
