Keberadaan media sosial dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa apabila digunakan secara bijak, misalnya untuk mencari informasi edukatif, ekspresi diri, atau membangun relasi sosial yang sehat. Namun, tidak sedikit siswa yang menggunakan media sosial dengan intensitas berlebihan dan tidak terkontrol. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif, berupa perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi lebih dalam perilaku prokrastinasi siswa SMA yang teradiksi media sosial instagram.&#13;
&#13;
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi dengan informan berjumlah 4 orang siswa SMA yang berdomisili di Dusun Balong, Gabus, Grobogan dan mengalami adiksi media sosial Instagram. Informan penelitian dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Kredibilitas data melalui triangulasi teknik. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman, (1992) yang meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan serta verifikasi kesimpulan, yang berlangsung secara simultan dan berkesinambungan selama proses penelitian.&#13;
&#13;
Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa SMA yang teradiksi media sosial, khususnya Instagram, terjadi akibat interaksi antara perilaku penundaan tugas, gangguan aktivitas belajar, dan dorongan internal seperti rasa takut serta penyesalan. Siswa cenderung menunda tugas, kesulitan mengatur waktu, dan mengalami penurunan nilai akademik akibat ketergantungan terhadap Instagram, yang digunakan sebagai pelarian dari tugas sulit maupun kejenuhan. Adiksi ini ditandai dengan keinginan terus-menerus untuk mengakses aplikasi, gelisah saat tidak terhubung, dan respon cepat terhadap notifikasi. Meskipun sebagian siswa merasa mendapatkan manfaat dari Instagram, dampak negatifnya terhadap performa akademik sangat nyata. Selain itu, faktor sosial seperti pengaruh teman sebaya dan teguran dari orang tua turut memperkuat pola prokrastinasi ini. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya edukasi literasi digital, pelatihan manajemen waktu, dan dukungan dari lingkungan sosial untuk mendorong perilaku belajar yang lebih sehat dan bertanggung jawab.&#13;

The existence of social mediacan have a positive impact on students if used wisely, for example to find educational information, self-expression, or build healthy social relationships. However, not a few students use social media with excessive and uncontrolled intensity. This condition has the potential to cause various negative impacts, in the form of academic procrastination behavior.this study aims to explore more deeply the procrastination behavior of high school students who are addicted to instagram.&#13;
&#13;
This study is a qualitative phenomenological study with informants consisting of 4 high school students who live in Dusun Balong, Gabus, Grobogan and are addicted to instagram social media. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling. Data collection using interviews, observations, documetation.data credibility through triangulation techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman, (1992) which includes three stages, namely : data reduction, data presetation, and drawing and verifying conclusions, which take place simultaneously and continuosly during the research process.&#13;
Thtt this study shows that academic procastination in high school students who are addicted to social media, especially instagram, occurs due to the interaction between task delay behavior, learning activity disruption, and internal drives such as fear and regret. Students tend to delay assignments, have difficulty managing time and experience a decline in academic grades due to dependence on instagram, which is used as an escape from difficult tasks or boredom.this addiction is characterized bya a constant desire to access the application, reslessness when not connected, and a quick response to notifications. Although some students feel they benefit from instagram, its negative impact on academic performance is very real. In addition, social factors such as peer influence and reprimands from parents alsosrengthen this procrastination pattern. These findings emphasize the need for digital literacy education, time management traning,and support from the social environment to encourge healthier and more responsible learning behavior.&#13;
