Mahasiswa aktivis organisasi penerima Bidikmisi sering menghadapi tekanan
multidimensi yang mencakup beban akademik, tanggung jawab organisasi, dan
keterbatasan ekonomi. Tekanan tersebut berisiko memicu academic burnout
berupa kelelahan emosional, penurunan prestasi, serta sikap sinisme terhadap
aktivitas perkuliahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pemahaman dan
pengaplikasian konsep Islamic Mindfulness dalam kehidupan mahasiswa aktivis
organisasi penerima bidikmisi yang mengalami akademik burnout di UIN Raden
Mas Said Surakarta.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi. Informan
dalam penelitian terdiri dari tiga subjek dengan kriteria mahasiswa penerima
bidikmisi, mengalami akademik burnout, mengikuti organisasi, berusia 19 – 25
tahun di UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan
melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi non-partisipan. Untuk
memastikan kredibilitas data, penelitian ini menerapkan triangulasi sumber dan
triangulasi metode. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis
fenomenologis dari Moustakas (1994), yang meliputi tahapan epoche
(bracketing), horizonalization, clustering of meanings, textural description,
structural description, dan synthesis of meanings and essences.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Islamic mindfulness berperan sebagai
mekanisme adaptif utama dalam menghadapi tekanan akademik dan kelelahan
mental pada mahasiswa aktivis penerima Bidikmisi. Nilai-nilai spiritual seperti
ibadah yang konsisten, muraqabah (fokus dan kehadiran penuh), pengelolaan
emosi melalui kesabaran dan doa, serta penerimaan terhadap kegagalan
membentuk strategi coping yang kuat dan bermakna. Kebiasaan reflektif
(muhasabah), interaksi sosial yang empatik, dan niat yang ikhlas karena Allah
memperkuat motivasi intrinsik dan ketahanan mental mahasiswa. Temuan ini
menegaskan bahwa Islamic mindfulness bukan hanya aspek religius, melainkan
juga sumber ketangguhan akademik dan keseimbangan hidup yang efektif dalam
menghadapi kompleksitas perkuliahan dan tanggung jawab organisasi.

Students who are activists of Bidikmisi recipient organizations often face
multidimensional pressures that include academic burden, organizational
responsibilities, and economic limitations. These pressures are at risk of triggering
academic burnout in the form of emotional exhaustion, decreased achievement, and
cynicism towards lecture activities. This study aims to identify the understanding and
application of the concept of Islamic Mindfulness in the lives of student activists of
Bidikmisi recipient organizations who experience academic burnout at UIN Raden
Mas Said Surakarta.
This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. The informants in the study
consisted of three subjects with the criteria of Bidikmisi recipient students,
experiencing academic burnout, joining organizations, aged 19-25 years at UIN Raden
Mas Said Surakarta. Data collection techniques were conducted through semi
structured interviews and non-participant observation. To ensure the credibility of the
data, this study applied source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis
was conducted using the phenomenological analysis technique from Moustakas (1994),
which includes the stages of epoche (bracketing), horizonalization, clustering of
meanings, textural description, structural description, and synthesis of meanings and
essences.
The results of this study indicate that Islamic mindfulness plays a role as the main
adaptive mechanism in dealing with academic pressure and mental fatigue in Bidikmisi
activist students. Spiritual values such as consistent worship, muraqabah (focus and
full presence), emotional management through patience and prayer, and acceptance of
failure form strong and meaningful coping strategies. Reflective habits (muhasabah),
empathetic social interactions, and sincere intentions because of Allah strengthen
students' intrinsic motivation and mental resilience. These findings confirm that
Islamic mindfulness is not only a religious aspect, but also a source of academic
resilience and effective life balance in dealing with the complexity of lectures and
organizational responsibilities.
