Indonesia memiliki banyak potensi wisata religi, dengan beragam aset sejarah berupa bangunan atau tempat khusus yang memiliki makna penting bagi umat beragama. Objek wisata religi memiliki cakupan yang sangat luas, meliputi setiap tempat yang bisa menumbuhkan religiusitas yang berhubungan dengan wisata religi. Yogyakarta sebagai salah satu kota yang dikenal dengan sejarah dan pariwisatanya serta memiliki beberapa destinasi wisata religi, berbagai tempat yang menawarkan pengalaman spiritual. Desa Wisata Jagalan yang terletak di Kotagede Banguntapan Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menjadi kawasan pusat penyebaran agama Islam di Pulau Jawa, salah satunya keberadaan kompleks Masjid Gedhe Mataram yang menjadi daya tarik wisatawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi daya tarik Desa Wisata Jagalan Kotagede sebagai wisata religi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Desa Wisata Jagalan memiliki potensi daya tarik wisata sebagai wisata religi. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh penerapan komponen- komponen daya tarik objek wisata yaitu 3S. Something to see, ditunjukkan dengan keberadaan Makam Raja-raja Mataram, Sendang Seliran dan Masjid Gedhe Mataram. Something to do, ditunjukkan dengan adanya aktivitas berziarah, bersuci di Sendang Seliran dan kegiatan keagamaan yang berada di Masjid Gedhe Mataram. Hal tersebut selaras dengan fungsi dan manfaat wisata religi yaitu meningkatkan keimanan kepada Tuhan, memperoleh ketenangan lahir dan batin serta bentuk perjalanan spiritual bagi wisatawan. Something to buy, ditunjukkan dengan adanya perhiasan perak, aksesoris, souvenir religius tasbih kayu, peci, sajadah kecil yang dapat dibeli sebagai oleh-oleh. Indonesia has a lot of potential for religious tourism, with various historical assets in the form of buildings or special places that have important meanings for religious people. Religious tourism objects have a very broad scope, covering every place that can foster religiosity related to religious tourism. Yogyakarta as one of the cities known for its history and tourism and has several religious tourism destinations, various places that offer spiritual experiences. Jagalan Tourism Village located in Kotagede Banguntapan Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta is a central area for the spread of Islam on the island of Java, one of which is the existence of the Great Mosque of Mataram which is a tourist attraction. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential attraction of Jagalan Tourism Village Kotagede as a religious tourism. The research method used in this study was qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that Jagalan Tourism Village has the potential for tourist attraction as a religious tourism. This is indicated by the application of the components of the attraction of tourist objects, namely 3S. Something to see, indicated by the existence of the Tombs of the Kings of Mataram, Sendang Seliran and the Great Mosque of Mataram. Something to do, indicated by the presence of pilgrimage activities, purification at Sendang Seliran and religious activities at the Great Mosque of Mataram. This is in line with the function and benefits of religious tourism, namely increasing faith in God, obtaining inner and outer peace and a form of spiritual journey for tourists. Something to buy, indicated by the presence of silver jewelry, accessories, religious souvenirs of wooden prayer beads, peci, small prayer mats that can be purchased as souvenirs.
