Fakultas Ushuluddin dan Dakwah UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. 2025. Indonesia dengan keberagaman budaya dan alamnya, memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor pariwisata. Salah satu segmen yang semakin diminati adalah wisata religi. Kota Solo dengan pesona yang khas, tidak hanya kaya akan budaya Jawa yang kental, tetapi juga menyimpan jejak sejarah Islam yang begitu mendalam. Hal ini tercermin dari keberadaan masjid-masjid tua yang tersebar di berbagai sudut kota. Masjid-masjid ini bukan sekadar tempat ibadah, melainkan juga saksi bisu perjalanan sejarah dan peradaban Islam di tanah Jawa. Masjid Laweyan merupakan masjid tertua yang didirikan di Kota Solo, Potensi pengembangan wisata religi di masjid ini sangatlah menjanjikan, mengingat minat masyarakat terhadap wisata spiritual yang semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi Masjid Laweyan sebagai objek wisata religi di Kota Solo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melaui observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Masjid Laweyan memiliki potensi sebagai salah satu objek wisata religi yang ada di Solo. Hal ini didukung oleh beberapa faktor, pertama nilai sejarah dan budaya dimana Masjid Laweyan memiliki sejarah yang panjang dan unik, dengan perpaduan budaya Hindu Jawa dan Islam dilihat dari gaya bangunan Masjid. Hal ini menjadi daya tarik bagi wisatawan yang tertarik dengan sejarah dan budaya. Kedua potensi edukasi, Masjid Laweyan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pusat pembelajaran sejarah Islam dan budaya Jawa, sehingga dapat menarik minat pengunjung dari berbagai kalangan, terutama pelajar dan mahasiswa. Ketiga Keterlibatan Masyarakat sekitar yang memiliki keterikatan emosional yang kuat dengan masjid ini, sehingga dapat menjadi pendukung utama dalam pengembangan wisata religi. Namun juga menghadapi beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan promosi. Sebagai rekomendasi, perlu adanya peningkatan fasilitas, pengembangan produk wisata serta kerjasama dari beberapa stakeholder Masyarakat, Pengelola Masjid, dan juga Pemerintah daerah. One segment that is increasingly in demand is religious tourism. The city of Solo, with its unique charm, is not only rich in strong Javanese culture, but also has deep traces of Islamic history. This is reflected in the existence of old mosques scattered in various corners of the city. These mosques are not just places of worship, but also silent witnesses to the history and civilization of Islam in Java. The Laweyan Mosque is the oldest mosque established in the city of Solo. The potential for developing religious tourism at this mosque is very promising, considering the increasing public interest in spiritual tourism. This research aims to analyze the potential of the Laweyan Mosque as a religious tourism attraction in the city of Solo. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the Laweyan Mosque has the potential to become one of the religious tourist attractions in Solo. This is supported by several factors, firstly the Historical and Cultural Value where the Laweyan Mosque has a long and unique history, with a blend of Hindu and Islamic culture seen from the style of the Mosque building. This is an attraction for tourists who are interested in history and culture. Second, it has educational potential, the Laweyan Mosque can be used as a learning center for Islamic history and Javanese culture, so that it can attract the interest of visitors from various groups, especially students and college students. Third, involvement of local communities who have a strong emotional attachment to this mosque, so that it can become the main supporter in the development of religious tourism. However, it also faces several challenges such as limited facilities and promotions. As a recommendation, there is a need to improve facilities, develop tourism products and collaborate with several community stakeholders, mosque managers and also the local government.
