Berdirinya Industri Nikel di wilayah Indonesia menuai Pro dan Kontra pada masyarakat. Banyak media memberikan Informasi mengenai berbagai masalah yang muncul setelah adanya Industri Nikel salah satunya yaitu media Watchdoc. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Representasi Ketidakadilan Ekonomi pada Narasi Film Kutukan Nikel Produksi Watchdoc ditinjau dalam Analisis Wacana Tek model Teun A. Van Dijk.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi kepustakaan dan studi dokumen. Dalam penelitian ini sendiri, peneliti memakai cara pandang paradigma kritis dengan metode analisis wacana model Teun A. Van Dijk yang berfokus hanya pada Teks.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Narasi Film Kutukan Nikel merepresentasikan bagaimana ketidakadilan ekonomi terjadi akibat eksploitasi sumber daya alam yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Efek Negatif keberadaan Industri Nikel menyebabkan Masyarakat Kehilangan Mata Pencaharian, Kehilangan Tempat Tinggal, Kerusakan Lingkungan, serta banyak Masyarakat yang harus berurusan dengan Hukum, kemudian kurangnnya Prosedur keselamatan kerja dari Perusahaan tambang membuat banyak Pekerja Tambang Meninggal, sehingga diperlukan adanya tindak lanjut dan Solusi terkait masalah – masalah tersebut oleh Pemerintah.

The establishment of the nickel industry in Indonesia has sparked both support and opposition within the community. Many media outlets have provided information regarding various issues that have arisen following the establishment of the nickel industry, one of which is the media outlet Watchdoc. Generally, this research aims to understand the representation of economic injustice in the narrative of the documentary film "Nickel Curse" produced by Watchdoc, examined through Teun A. Van Dijk's discourse analysis model.
This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as literature review and document study. In this research, the researcher adopts a critical paradigm perspective with a discourse analysis method based on Teun A. Van Dijk's model, focusing solely on the text.
The results of this study are the Narrative Film Curse of Nickel represents how economic injustice occurs due to irresponsible exploitation of natural resources. The Negative Effects of the Nickel Industry cause People to Lose Their Livelihoods, Lose Their Homes, Damage the Environment, and many People have to deal with the Law, then the lack of Occupational Safety Procedures from Mining Companies causes many Mine Workers to Die, so that follow-up and Solutions are needed related to these problems by the Government.
