Film pendek Ruang Tunggu menceritakan Rima sebagai pemeran utama yang memiliki penyakit serangan panik dan kebiasaan sama setiap hari yang menurut anaknya adalah aktivitas yang berujung sia-sia. Namun, Rima tetap memiliki ketahanan dan tekad yang kuat untuk bertahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan resiliensi perempuan yang terdapat pada film pendek Ruang Tunggu dengan teori resiliensi oleh Reivich & Shatte. Peran resiliensi menjadi fokus utama dalam penelitian ini dengan memperhatikan isu sosial yang ada. Berdasarkan latar belakang divatas maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan resiliensi perempuan pada film pendek Ruang Tunggu.
Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Teknik dokumentasi, pada film ini terdapat empat belas scene kemudian menggunakan teknik studi Pustaka dengan mempelajari literatur yang sesuai, dan teknik wawancara. Pada Teknik analisis data menggunakan semiotika Roland Barthes yang terdapat denotasi, konotasi dan Mitos.
Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa ada empat belas scene yang mengandung resiliensi. Tujuh aspek utama yaitu regulasi emosi, impulse control, empati, optimisme, casual analysis, reaching out dan self-efficacy tercermin melalui berbagai bentuk ekspresi, adegan, dialog, dan latar tempat pada film. Faktor resiliensi perempuan yang memiliki tujuh aspek digambarkan melalui bentuk ekspresi, adegan, dialog, sudut pengambilan gambar dan latar tempat pada film. Resiliensi pada film ini sebagai bentuk tekad yang kuat dari tokoh perempuan untuk bangkit dari tantangan dan mengatasi kesulitan, mereka memiliki pandangan yang positif dan keyakinan bahwa dirinya mampu untuk terus melangkah dan menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi. Resiliensi yang tokoh perempuan miliki dapat dijadikan gambaran dalam proses pemulihan, proses penyembuhan dengan harus memiliki resiliensi yang baik sehingga mendapatkan semangat dan jati dirinya untuk tetap bertahan.

The short film Ruang Wachti tells the story of Rima as the main character who has panic attacks and the same daily habits, which according to her son are activities that end in vain. However, Rima still has a strong resilience and determination to survive. This study aims to represent the resilience of women in the short film Ruang Wachti with the theory of resilience by Reivich & Shatte. The role of resilience is the main focus in this study by paying attention to existing social issues. Based on the above background, the purpose of this study is to describe women's resilience in the short film Ruang Tuwait.
This study uses Roland Barthes semiotic analysis with a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection is carried out using documentation techniques, in this film there are fourteen scenes then using the Literature study technique by studying the appropriate literature, and interview techniques. In the data analysis technique, Roland Barthes uses semiotics which contains denotations, connotations and myths.
From the results of the study, it was found that there were fourteen scenes that contained resilience. The seven main aspects, namely emotion regulation, impulse control, empathy, optimism, casual analysis, reaching out and self-efficacy, are reflected through various forms of expression, scenes, dialogue, and settings in the film. The female resilience factor, which has seven aspects, is depicted through the form of expression, scenes, dialogues, shooting angles, and settings in the film. Resilience in this film is a form of strong determination from female characters to rise from challenges and overcome difficulties, they have a positive outlook and confidence that they are able to continue to step forward and solve the problems they are facing. The resilience that female characters have can be used as an illustration in the recovery process, the healing process by having to have good resilience so that they get their spirit and identity to survive.
