Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya penemuan dokumen jadwal pembacaan surah pilihan pada salat Fardhu yang terletak pada tembok sisi di kiri bilik imam di Masjid Darussalam Jayengan Surakarta. Pada dokumen tersebut, dapat dicermati pada bagian salat Subuh selama satu minggu yang didominasi oleh surah-surah yang di dalamnya terdapat ayat-ayat sumpah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari keterkaitan antara pemaknaan jemaah terhadap ayat-ayat sumpah dengan waktu salat Subuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif serta menggunakan dua teori, yaitu teori fenomenologi Alfred Schutz dan teori qasam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi terhadap pelaksanaan pembacaan surah pilihan dalam salat Subuh dan dilakukan wawancara kepada ketua takmir, imam dan jemaah Masjid Darussalam Jayengan. Analisis triangulasi sumber juga digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk mengaitkan beberapa sumber, yaitu dokumen jadwal surah pilihan, wawancara terhadap ketua takmir, imam, dan jemaah masjid Darussalam dan penafsiran ayat-ayat sumpah dari beberapa kitab tafsir. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pemaknaan yang dilakukan oleh jemaah masjid Darussalam Jayengan terhadap ayat-ayat sumpah menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara ayat-ayat tersebut dengan waktu Subuh. Dalam konteks ini, jemaah mengindentifikasi bahwa keutamaan dari surah yang mengandung ayat-ayat sumpah tersebut sangat terkait dengan pelaksanaan ibadah salat Subuh. Hal ini mencerminkan pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai pentingnya waktu Subuh sebagai momen yang penuh berkah, di mana ayat-ayat sumpah tersebut dianggap memiliki fadhilah seperti agar dimudahkan segala urusan dunia maupun akhirat serta dilindungi dari godaan setan selama satu hari penuh dalam menjalani kegiatan. This research was motivated by the discovery of a document of the schedule for reading selected surahs during Fardhu prayers located on the left side wall of the imam's room at the Darussalam Jayengan Mosque, Surakarta. In the document, it can be observed that the Subuh prayer section for one week is dominated by surahs that contain verses of oaths. This study aims to find the relationship between the congregation's interpretation of the verses of the oath and the time of the Subuh prayer. This study uses a qualitative approach and uses two theories, namely Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory and the qasam theory. This study was conducted by observing the implementation of the reading of selected surahs in the Subuh prayer and conducting interviews with the head of the takmir, imam and congregation of the Darussalam Jayengan Mosque. Source triangulation analysis was also used in this study to link several sources, namely the selected surah schedule document, interviews with the head of the takmir, imam, and congregation of the Darussalam mosque and the interpretation of the oath verses from several tafsir books. The results of this study are the interpretations made by the congregation of the Darussalam Jayengan mosque towards the oath verses showing a significant relationship between these verses and the time of Subuh. In this context, the congregation identified that the virtue of the surah containing the oath verses is closely related to the implementation of the Subuh prayer. This reflects a deep understanding of the importance of Subuh time as a moment full of blessings, where the oath verses are considered to have virtues such as making all worldly and afterlife affairs easier and being protected from the temptations of Satan for a full day in carrying out activities.
