Kemandirian merupakan karakter mandiri yang harus ditanamkan dan harus &#13;
dimiliki anak saat mulai dari kecil dikarenakan keterbiasaan ini akan membangun &#13;
pola kepribadian yang baik. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini ialah anak autisme &#13;
spectrum disorder (ASD) yang terlalu bergantung kepada guru pendamping khusus &#13;
saat akan melaksanakan suatu kegiatan di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan guru &#13;
pendamping khusus yaitu dengan metode pembiasaan secara berulang dan teratur &#13;
dalam membantu dalam membangun kemandirian anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini &#13;
yaitu untuk menggambarkan penerapan metode pembiasaan dalam membangun &#13;
kemandirian anak autism spectrum disorder (ASD) di SD Muhammadiyah Alam &#13;
Surya Mentari &#13;
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Informan dalam &#13;
penelitian ini adalah guru pendamping khusus yang berjumlah 2 orang yang dipilih &#13;
secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara &#13;
dan observasi. Metode keabsahan data adalah triangulasi teknik. Analisis data &#13;
menggunakan  pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan &#13;
kesimpulan.  &#13;
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode pembiasaan dalam &#13;
membangun kemandirian anak autisme spectrum disorder (ASD) di SD &#13;
Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari dalam penerapannya metode pembiasaan &#13;
terbagi menjadi persiapan penerapan metode pembiasaan, pelaksanaan metode &#13;
pembiasaan serta evaluasi penerapan metode pembiasaaan. Dengan penerapan &#13;
metode pembiasaan anak dapat melakukan kegiatan dengan  baik  dalam aspek &#13;
kemandirian emosional, tingkah laku,dan nilai.  &#13;

Said State Islamic University of Surakarta, 2025. &#13;
Independence is an independent character that must be instilled and must be &#13;
possessed by children from an early age because this habit will build a good &#13;
personality pattern. The problem in this study is that children with autism spectrum &#13;
disorder (ASD) are too dependent on special assistant teachers when they are going &#13;
to carry out an activity at school. The method used by special assistant teachers is &#13;
the method of repeated and regular habituation in helping to build children's &#13;
independence. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of the &#13;
habituation method for building independence for children with autism spectrum &#13;
disorder (ASD) at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari &#13;
This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The informants in this &#13;
study were 2 special assistant teachers selected by purposive sampling. Data &#13;
collection techniques used interviews and observations. The data validity method &#13;
is technical triangulation. Data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data &#13;
presentation, and conclusion drawing. &#13;
The results of this study indicate that the habituation method contributes &#13;
positively to building the independence of children with autism spectrum disorder &#13;
(ASD) at SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. In the application of the &#13;
habituation method, special assistant teachers provide examples, direct and apply &#13;
reinforcement, punishment, shaping, extinction. By applying the habituation &#13;
method, children can carry out activities well in terms of emotional independence, &#13;
behavior, and values. &#13;
