Disorientasi seksual dapat diartikan sebagai penyimpangan orientasi seksual dimana penderita memiliki ketertarikan secara romantis secara fisik maupun seksual terhadap individu sesama jenisbiasa disebut dengan homoseksual. Proses membuka diri pada kaum homoseksual ini kemudian biasa disebut dengan coming out. Sedangkan Inferiority complex adalah perasaan rendah diri dari seorang individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perasaan rendah diri pada tiga laki-laki dengan disorientasi seksual setelah melakukan coming out.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah tiga laki-laki (gay) yang mengalami disorientasi seksual. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstuktur, observasi non-participant, dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Non-Probability Snowball Sampling. Kredibilitas penelitian menggunakan triangulasi data dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teori milik Moustakas berupa wawancara mendalam. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan merekam interaksi langsung antara peneliti dan informan.

Hasil penelitian adalah coming out berdampak pada kondisi psikologis informan. Sebelum melakukan coming out, informan merasa tidak percaya diri, stress, dan rendah diri namun setelah melakukan coming out informan mengalami peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam kehidupan bersosial, tingkat stress berkurang dan dapat menerima diri. Adapun faktor yang menyebabkan informan melakukan coming out adalah ingin mendapat dukungan sosial maupun emosional dari orang terdekat.

Sexual disorientation can be interpreted as a deviation in sexual orientation where the sufferer has a romantic physical or sexual attraction to individuals of the same sex, this is commonly referred to as homosexual. The process of opening up to homosexuals is then commonly referred to as coming out. While Inferiority complex is a feeling of inferiority of an individual. This study aims to describe feelings of inferiority in three men with sexual disorientation after coming out.
This study is a qualitative phenomenological study. The informants in this study were three men (gay) who experienced sexual disorientation. Data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The sampling technique in this study used the Non-Probability Snowball Sampling technique. The credibility of the study used data triangulation and technique triangulation. The analysis of the research data used Moustakas' theory in the form of in-depth interviews. In-depth interviews were conducted by recording direct interactions between researchers and informants.
The results of the study were that coming out had an impact on the psychological condition of informants. Before coming out, informants felt insecure, stressed, and inferior, but after coming out, informants experienced increased self-confidence in social life, reduced stress levels, and were able to accept themselves. The factors that caused informants to come out were wanting to get social and emotional support from those closest to them.
