Critical Masses
This book discusses the global population crisis presented at the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo in September 1994. The author highlights that excessive population growth threatens the sustainability of the planet's resources and is more dangerous than disease or conflict. By 2050, the population of poor countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, Mexico, Iran and India is expected to nearly double, putting enormous pressure on governments and social services.
